Steve Picton

Steve Picton PhD is Head of Technical Support for Roche Array Systems covering Europe, Middle East, Africa and Latin America and is based in the UK. He received his BSc in 1983 and worked at the newly established Leicester Biocentre before completing his PhD in Molecular Biology at Nottingham, UK in 1998.  He followed with post doctoral positions in Auckland, New Zealand, Australia and Europe before joining the commercial life sciences sector in 1992. Steve has over 15 years Pan European scientific support and business experience with three industry leaders providing technologies for  DNA sequencing, PCR and QPCR, genotyping and high density DNA array applications. During this period he has continued to co-publish with a number of research groups. Steve's support group at Roche are responsible for introducing, training and supporting Roche's array technology portfolio including the recently introduced technology of Array based Sequence Capture.
