Mr. Jouko Uusitalo

Jouko Uusitalo (38), MSc in Structural Elucidation Chemistry, is the founder of Novamass, CEO and member of the Board. Between 1998 and 2003 he was a researcher in Prof. Olavi Pelkonen's (Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology of University of Oulu) drug metabolism group. His responsibilities were on bioanalytical chemistry and method development for different kinds of in vitro and in vivo metabolism and drug interaction preparations using LC/MS techniques.

He is currently studying eMBA and preparing a PhD thesis "Comprehensive in vitro metabolic characterisation of new chemical entities to support drug discovery and development". He has contributed to about ten peer reviewed articles concerning drug metabolism, interactions and bioanalytical chemistry.
